Development III - 3 Years Old

Three's

Three years old children is transitioning from a toddler to a preschool student. Chatting with friend’s increases verbal and social skills. Solving shape puzzles strengthens problem-solving skills, while drawing and painting nurture creativity. Teacher’s work to foster self-esteem during one-on-one journal time and in group activities. As preparation for moving into our exclusive KIDS ARE ANGELS preschool curriculum, we introduce one concept at a time, so your child feels proud, not frustrated.


Our Teacher’s Goal for Development III Program

  • To meet each child’s physical needs while encouraging independence in self care.
  • To provide a nurturing atmosphere in which children have respect for themselves.
  • To provide a calm, warm, loving and nurturing atmosphere for the child to feel secure in.
  • To continue the respect and care for equipment.
  • To offer a  wide variety of activities within the preschool curriculum including: practical life, math, sensorial, language, introduction to the community, art & craft, music and movement, science,  social studies, cooking, large and small muscle development.
  • To encourage curiosity within each child giving them room to discovery and explore their environment, therefore gaining independence.
  • To provide ample opportunity for the use of large and small motor skills for indoor and outdoor activity.
  • To establish an observation and evaluation system in which notes on children are kept on a daily basis.
  • To be supportive of parents, encouraging involvement, open communication while using tact and discretion.
  • To develop staff potential through proper supervision by making expectations clear, following through to see that expectations are met, and utilizing staff input and their abilities.
  • To encourage staff to be aware of the room (and surroundings) so that a safe environment for children is established.
  • To complete child assessments twice a year; assessments to be made available to
  • the staff when the child enters the next program.
